Super Bowl Squares!
about 1 month ago by Chris
Well, folks, here it is - the end of our most epic football event ever. And it’s going to end with — hopefully — one of the most epic Super Bowls ever.  I don’t want to sound overdramatic here, my friends, but this is one of the easiest and most fun game previews I’ve ever had the pleasure to write.

Super Bowl LX, Seattle vs New England, Sunday, February 8, 2026, 3:30 Pacific / 6:30 Eastern, NBC / Peacock
Eleven years ago, Malcolm Butler intercepted Russell Wilson at the goal line, and Seattle's dynasty-that-almost-was ended on the most painful play in franchise history. Now the Seahawks get another shot at the Patriots on Sunday in Santa Clara. Seattle got here by beating the Rams 31-27 in the NFC Championship behind Sam Darnold's best game of the year - 346 yards, three touchdowns, zero turnovers - and a clutch fourth-down stop with under five minutes left. New England ground out a 10-7 win over Denver in a blizzard, their first playoff victory ever in the Mile High City. The Patriots are making their 12th Super Bowl appearance, looking for their 7th win and the start of a whole new era of dominance. The Seahawks are looking for redemption more than a decade in the making.

So that’s it, folks. One game for all the marbles. Have a wonderful Super Bowl Sunday, however you spend it. I wish you only the finest snacks and beverages, even if you’re really only here for the commercials. And I’ll leave you with this: in all the years I’ve been producing this game, I try very hard to be fair and neutral; I almost never express my own fandom. But this time, I think, just this once, I’ll say what’s truly on my mind:

Go Hawks.

Best,

Chris
